  • 5:00pm—8pm · Let’s Talk about Sex… or Whatever!
Each Thursday, a member of the ACO Gay Men’s Health Team and Gay Zone volunteers will be hanging out in the reception area with a table covered in safer sex supplies, resources, reading materials and other fun and interesting stuff. Ever have questions about why you should use lots of lube when you fuck? HIV disclosure/non-disclosure? Different types of condoms and lube? Feel free to grab one of the free coffees and have a chat!

  • 5:15pm · Men's Yoga @ Gay Zone (FREE!)
Join our volunteer yoga instructor in his weekly classes which are welcoming to beginners, challenging enough for yoga regulars, and a perfect refresher course for advanced learners. Special thanks to Heather Raines and Upward Dog Yoga Centre for providing yoga mats and blocks. Participants can use our mats and blocks, but are encouraged to bring water bottles and a towel for their comfort.

  • 6:00pm · Totally outRIGHT - Sexual Health Leadership Group
Totally outRIGHT Ottawa will have a follow-up group that will be hosted at Gay Zone from 6-7pm on the last Thursday of the month to keep participants engaged post-program. Totally outRIGHT participants will host workshops, guided discussions, and presentations on topics that they feel are relevant within Ottawa’s gay/queer communities and other communities that they belong to. Group participation will also be more casual and open to anyone on a drop-in basis. We want to encourage participation from beyond the group of program graduates. For example, we will invite individuals that may have been interested in Totally outRIGHT but could not participate for whatever reason, or others who may have found the commitment of a full-month program intimidating. Of course, it is open to anyone that is interested.

Gay Zone Groups:
Join us at Gay Zone for one of the groups intended for Gay Men to address the many issues and stages that each person may be at in their life. We are currently working on exploring, developing and hosting a variety of groups that have been identified as being of interest to gay men in the community. These groups will be facilitated, with a specific mandate and may be time limited or ongoing, dependant on the needs and desires of the participants. Some groups we are in the process of developing and making available in the near future at Gay Zone area.

Stay tuned for more information about upcoming groups at Gay Zone in partnership with ACO.

Programming coordinated by the AIDS Committee of Ottawa.
