- Let’s Talk about Sex… or Whatever
Each Thursday, the openly HIV positive, charming and tattooed Michael Burtch (Men’s Outreach Coordinator at the AIDS Committee of Ottawa) will be hanging out in the reception room with a table covered in safer sex supplies, resources, reading materials (and the occasional dildo). Ever have questions about why you should use lots of lube when you fuck? HIV disclosure/non-disclosure? Different types of condoms and lube? Feel free to grab one of the free coffees (graciously donated by the Second Cup at Bank and Somerset) and have a chat!

Snacks will be served, and all you have to bring is a smile and an open mind. SHAG’ed happens on the last Thursday of every month from 6 to 8 pm. Programming is aimed at youth aged 16 to 24 years.

- Snowblower Community Fair
The Snowblower Community Fair brings together social groups, sports clubs, services, businesses and more for gay, bisexual, queer, two-spirit and other guys into guys, all in one place to let you know what they've got planned in 2012 - there's going to be something for you! Don't miss the prizes and giveaways! The Community Fair is part of the Snowblower 2012 festival, which will be held from Thursday, February 9 to Sunday, February 19 in Ottawa. Events during the festival will include workshops, parties and cultural events promoting health and wellness among Ottawa’s population of men who have sex with men. The festival celebrates male sexuality and is a proudly sex positive, inclusive festival.

Hard Cover is a book club for men into men in Ottawa Ontario. Our pick for January 19 is The Tricky Part, a memoir by Martin Moran. From twelve to fifteen, Moran had a sexual relationship with a counselor at a Catholic Boys' camp. The book tells the story of this relationship and its complex effect on the man he became. As part of a partnership with After Stonewall Bookshop, Hard Cover book club members will receive a 10% discount off each month’s book.
